For prospective graduate students.
My main research interests are currently focused on
1) the development of occupational calling: graduate students may be involved in an ongoing longitudinal study involving approximately 5000 undergraduate students. Research questions in this project are primarily concerned with development trajectories of career calling, predictors of change (e.g. mentorship, social support, presence of a calling in professors and supervisors) and consequences of change in perceived calling (e.g. academic performance and job performance).
2) reproducibility of Psychological Science and Open Science Practices. See OSF.io for more information or contact me directly.
3) Personnel selection and performance management: in this line of research, through close relationships with public and private organizations, students may a) compare cross-culturally the predictive validity of different constructs and methods used in personnel selection and performance appraisal (e.g. intelligence, conscientiousness, goal orientations, b) manage interventions aimed at improving the effectiveness of selection practices, c) investigate the usefulness and feasibility of implicit measures in personnel selection.
